#5: SMALL COAT CLOSET STORAGE SOLUTIONS
#4: HOW TO ORGANIZE CRICUT SUPPLIES
How many of you have a
Cricut electronic cutting machine {affiliate link}, or a similar craft machine, like the Silhouette? If not, you might want to add it to your Christmas wish list for next year, because it's pretty much my favorite tool for organizing, as well as decorating and DIY. You can read more
here if you want to know why.
If you do already own a Cricut or Silhouette, then this next organizing post is for you -
How to Organize Cricut Supplies. Even if you don't have one of these machines, a lot of these same tips can be applied to storing and organizing all sorts of other craft supplies.
#3: 20 WAYS TO ORGANIZE
WITH AN IKEA SHOE CABINET
I
finally bought an IKEA shoe cabinet this year, and I don't know why I wanted so long. Not only are they super affordable and majorly space saving, it's also an ideal way to store just about anything! I wrote a post with
20 Ways to Organize with an IKEA Shoe Cabinet, and that's just the tip of the iceberg! I plan to write a version 2.0 post soon, because I just keep thinking of more ideas!
#2: CORD & CHARGER ORGANIZATION
At the start of the year, I felt like I was drowning in charger cords, cables, and small electronics. I needed a way to organize them, but also wanted to keep them close at hand since we use them daily. Since the kitchen is the heart of our home, I was desperately in need of a way to contain and organize all of our cords and chargers in this space. I finally came up with a
cord and charger organization solution that is not only functional, but also stylish enough that I don't mind having it on display on my kitchen counter!
#1: BRILLIANT WAYS TO ORGANIZE THE GARAGE
And finally, the most popular organizing post of the year was packed full of
tips to organize absolutely everything in your garage! It turns out you guys aren't the only ones who love an organized garage - Better Homes & Gardens does, too. In early November, they sent a crew to photograph the entire space for one of their spring issues. {PINCH ME!} I never thought that our garage would be the most magazine-worthy space in our house, but that just proves the power of stylish organization!
BONUS: POPULAR CLEANING TIPS
Finally, I leave your with two bonus cleaning posts. Both of these were among my most popular posts of the entire year, so I know they are challenges we all struggle with!
If you constantly have clothes with mysterious grease spots, like we do, then this tip is for you! After years of frustration, and too many shirts that found their way to the trash when I thought they couldn't be saved, I finally discovered
how to remove set in grease stains, even if they've already been washed and dried!
I'm calling 2017 the year I learned I should be cleaning my dishwasher. LOL. But seriously, am I the only one who assumed this spot was pretty clean since it washes day in and day out? Turns out I was wrong - it was actually pretty gross! I did my research, and found some simple and green techniques for
how to clean a dishwasher that really work!
That's a wrap on 2017! I'll be back next week with lots of ideas to get us all started on the right foot for an organized and stylish 2018! I have lots of projects in the works, but I also want to make sure I'm answering your questions and addressing your challenges, so please leave a comment and let me know what spaces you need help organizing in the new year!
