You never know where your style inspiration may come from, and we love the story of how Sarah's good deed sparked the idea for a stylish and cozy new blanket made from thrifted wool scarves! You'll find the story and the tutorial on her blog,
Sadie Seasongoods.
There's no need to get hung up on what an item is "supposed" to be used for. Get creative like
Anne with an E did when she used a plaid blanket to create a cozy table cloth for her Thanksgiving table! There are also so many other fun details to this table setting, like those ingenious "placecards."
Shelley, of
Calypso in the Country, is definitely mad for plaid and frequently uses plaid in her fall and winter table settings. She recently rounded up some of her favorites from past years, and we are particularly digging this Christmas breakfast table that she set last year!
Finally, we love how Jenny, of
Refresh Living, turned some of dad's old shirts into a table runner,
complete with pockets and buttons!
